Belonging to the Evergreen Azaleas group, Azalea Blue Danube is an old variety which is very hardy

With intense large violet blue flowers, with deeper purple red spotting, Blue Danube is a popular choice for a sunny border

Growing to a height of 1 metre, it has an upright spreading habit with flowers approximately 40-45mm wide and reaches a height of 60-80cm

It looks particularly effective when underplanted with bluebells

What you need to know:
